A Moonlit Revelation
As Inokoo felt the tail begin to slowly revert back into her human legs, she quickly turned into her Phoenix form. To avoid a rather…awkward situation. “A-ah, well… I could not wear pants or shorts with my tail, so I would…not have been dressed… But in my Phoenix form is it not a big deal, and is very natural and you wouldn’t have to see too much! I-I can hurry home and change though so that you and I may spend the night together if you wish to? Since we have confessed to each other I thought maybe we could do something nice together and enjoy the rest of the time we have together before the sun comes up. If you would like to, that is. I mean, if you don’t want to I understand…”
Wildfire blushed when he realized what Ino meant. “Oh, I-I understand n-now.” He stopped and took a deep breath in order to calm his nerves. “I guess it would not be good if you were to be seen… like that…” He really wasn’t sure how to respond. His natural Tamaranean sex drive, combined with the fact that he was still a teenager, were telling him one thing, but his innocence and respect for Ino were telling him something else entirely. “I will wait for you to change your clothing. I would go to your home with you, but I think your father would forbid that, no?”
“Y-yes…my father would not be too happy.” She looked down. Spreading her wings and fluttering to his shoulder, nuzzling his cheek with the tip of her beak affectionately. She nibbled at the edges of his earlobe to be playful, not so much frisky. It was an affectionate gesture, though it could easily be taken as sexual since this particular form of “affection” was often “arousing” to people. But Inokoo didn’t consider it that. She’d seen couples doing it sometimes and thought it was a common form of physically affection.
She spread her wings and flew into the air. “I’ll meet you at the fountain in a few minutes! I’ll try putting something nice on, alright?” With that, she flew higher and in the direction of the lair. Diving downward and spreading her wings at the last second, sending a wave of wind across the ground. She used her talons to turn the doorknob and hurry in. Closing the door, locking it, and fluttering to her room. Closing the door quickly and shifting into her human form.
She exhaled softly, then went to her drawers and switched out of her bathing suit top, switching into her usual jeans and sweater-top, slipping on her sandals before slipping out of the lair again. Locking the door behind her and running in the direction of the park.
However, in her hustle, she didn’t notice the pair of eyes watching her…
Wildfire was surprised by Ino nibbling on his ear. He wasn’t sure what to make of it. At first he took it as a sexual advance. His heart beat a little faster as he grew excited. But then thoughts of how Ino had reacted in the past to similar events deterred him from acting on his feelings. He realized she might not mean it the way he had originally perceived it.
"I will wait for you there! I look forward to our reunion." Wildfire said as Ino flew away. He set off towards the fountain, preparing to wait for Ino’s return.
Meanwhile, a criminal with a grudge stalked Inokoo. Stephen may have been bested before, but that was simply because Wildfire caught him off guard. Now the girl was alone, and he had the perfect chance to strike. He jumped out in front of her. “Well, well, well. If it ain’t the pretty little thing that’s caused trouble for me… what is it, twice now? I just can’t let something like that go, not even for a pretty little thing like you.” He pinched Ino’s cheek hard, meaning it more as a way of showing his dominance than as an actual compliment.
"You may have gotten away from me before you little brat, but your glowing friend ain’t around this time. I’ll break you like a twig!" He lunged at her, intending to grab her in one quick motion.
